Badoz Benoit Cremant du Jura
Based in Poligny on a tiny vineyard, Benoit Badoz is well known for working at Louis Carillon in Puligny, Pétrus and in Napa before taking over from his father, the founder of "la percée du Vin jaune" (an annual wine festival Arbois), in 2003. This is made by the Champagne method, from 100% Chardonnay.
Delicious citrus and grapefruit, with creamy, toasty undertones. Cremants are a bit underrated, but they are great value and this really tastes like a mini Champagne - a firm staff favourite!
