Regnaudot Santenay Rouge 2013
Didier Regnaudot has been steadily taking over the reigns at the family domaine from his father. Yields have gone down, the vineyards are tended impeccably and the wines are getting better and better. Stylistically these are red burgundies that many people think don’t exist – good value, generous in style (think Dujac or Rousseau rather than Mugnier or Faiveley style-wise), not overoaked, and just generally very tasty.
Inviting bright juicy forest fruit and violet on the nose. This is supported on the palate by well– integrated, fresh and lively acidity and soft tannins. This is the kind of wine you want from Burgundy at this price– round, well balanced and just a happy drinking wines!
