Montesquiou Cabeca 2015
This is a great example of a richer style of a dry white Jurancon, but it still has faboulous acidity. The grapes are from old vines, between 40 and 55 years old. The Montesquiou brothers employ many biodynamic and organic techniques, meaning no insecticides or herbicides are used. They put a great deal of work in their vineyards to produce healthy grapes that have excellent balance of ripeness and acidity. The Cabeca also spends 12 months in used French oak adding further richness. The results are stunning!
Incredibly fragrant- aromas of pineapple, lime and white peach. Creamy apricot on the palate with a hint of ginger. It's bone dry with a chalky texture-crisp and pure.
Grape: 60% Gros Manseng, 30% Petit Manseng, 10% Courbu
