Rocca Del Dragone Falanghina 2016
Falanghina is a white grape found predominately in the Campagnia region of southern Italy and the Molise region of central Italy. It makes lively fresh wines, resembling many Pinot Grigios. Rocca in Italian means a high fortifiable stronghold and local legend has it that a dragon lived in the mountain near the winery on Monte Petrino. Some locals say that you can still hear him on the windiest of evenings as no one had the courage to slay him…
Pale in colour with a floral bouquet with hints of melon and almonds. An elegant palate with fresh acidity and a touch of minerality.
