Montesquiou Belharra 2016
A dry white from the Jurancon region, in the foothills of the Pyrenees in South West France. It’s a blend of the local grapes, and is a great introduction to the dry whites of the region. Depending on the blend of grapes the wines can be fresh and citrusy quaffers or more rich age worthy wines, with wax and honey flavours. This is an unoaked version, and is very classic in style. Light and citrusy on the nose. Then much more intense on the palate. Grapefruit and green apple skin flavours, with subtle wax/lanolin notes. Fabulous tang.
