Tasmania is one of the most up and coming cool climte regions not only in Australia but the new world in general. The site on which the 12ha estate is located was originally planted with holm oak trees for the production of tennis racquets in the 1930s. Fortunately for Holm Oak estate it turned out that they don't make very good racquets. in 1983 the land was planted with vines, though plenty of holm oak trees still remain.
Classic cool climate Sauvignon Blanc aromas of passionfruit and gooseberry with crisp acidity. Fermentation in oak adds complexity and texture.
