Grochau Willamette Chardonnay 2015
Grochau Cellars, was established in 2002 by John Grochau with a view to making elegant, complex wines with low intervention and without huge oak use. All grapes are hand harvested and a slow, natural fermentation is encouraged.
This Chardonnay does not see any new oak but does undergo malolactic fermentation and is aged on lees for 16 months. Elegant and well balanced, early harvested grapes lead to green apple and citrus fruit with the lees aging adding a creamy texture.
