Chateau Coing Folie Blanche 2016
Domaine Coing are an organic winery in the Loire we've been working with for a while, and their Muscadet is one of our best sellers. They also make this fun white, as the name suggests from Folle Blanche. The variety is generally considered as a bit of a working horse grape, as traditionally it's used to make cheap glugging wine. However in recent years it has seen a bit of a revival - as wine makers have started to take the grape more serious and produce quality wines with it.
Crisp, citrus and green apple notes, with a light and fresh core and a bit of texture on the mid-palate from short lees again. Great on its own, or with light dishes. A great example of how delicious Folle Blanche can be!
