Jean Claude Bachelet St Aubin Charmois 2014
Grape: Chardonnay
750ml
St Aubin lies between Puligny and Chassagne and is known for producing slightly more unctuous wines, that can be great value. 2012 is a lovely Burgundy vintage particularly in Puligny. Benoit and Jean Baptiste have recently converted their vineyards to biodynamics. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts, and aged for 18 months on its lees in French barrels.
Classic St Aubin—rich and mouth-filling with creamy flavours of cashew, quince and lemon curd underpinned by a steely mineral core and crisp acidity.
