Jean-Christophe learnt biodynamic farming and wine making from Leonard Humbrecht, so it's no surprise that these wines are fantastic and he's fast becoming a rising star in Alsace. Jean-Christophe makes long fermentations, between 3 and 9 months! , creating lots of complex flavours. The resulting wines are incredibly expressive and complex, and certainly among the best in the region. He also releases his wines whne he thinks they are ready, so current releases are between 3 and 7 years old, adding extra complexity.
Delightfully restrained and fine, with very gently perfumed honeysuckle notes. A touch of sweetness and a savoury, oily edge from the extra bottle age.Definitely a must try!
