Chateau du Beau Vallon 2015
If you're looking for nice, everyday Bourdeaux, you've found the right wine. With plenty of charm and character, this Saint Émilion does not disappoint. The vines are 40 years old, and planted on limestone clay soils. Fermentation is carried out in a mixture of concrete and oak, and 10% of the wine is then aged in new oak. This makes for a subtle, elegant and pure style, letting the grapes speak rather than lots of vanilla spice from oak.
Mature red and black berries on the nose with caramel hints; well-balanced on the palate with lovely tannins.
Region: Bordeaux, France
Grape: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
