Hudelot-Baillet Passetoutgrains 2017
This must be one of the best value wines in the shop!
The appellation Bourgogne Passetoutgrains is the only exception to the usual rule in Burgundy that wines are made from single grape varieties. So this is a blend of rare Gamay from Gilly-les-Citeaux, (one km from Vougeot ),and one third Pinot from the village of Chambolle Musigny. The quality of the fruit is outstanding - and this vintage is absolutely fantastic. Bright fruit, zippy acidity yet with earthy complexity and length that goes way beyond its price point.
Region: Burgundy, France
Grape: 50% Pinot Noir 50% Gamay
