Hudelot Baillet Chambolle Musigny 1er Cras 2017
Hudelot-Baillet is relatively new Domaine by Burgundy standards, having started in 1981. They’re very rarely seen outside France and they’re quite an exciting discovery for us. Neal Martin, Robert Parker’s European correspondent voted their village level Bourgogne as the best 09 at that level that he tasted, so look out for the rising star of this estate.
Long, intense flavours give this wine a fascinating complexity. Flavours ranging from dark chocolate to licorice and dried raspberries make this mineral-rich wine one to save for a special occasion.
