Benoit Lahaye Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru 2013
This comes from the 2013 vintage and grand cru rated 22 year old vines in Bouzy (80% from the sector of Mont de Tauxieres) and Ambonnay where chalk is more present than the cuvee Brut Nature. It was initially aged in two to five year-old barrels, then given over two and a half years on the lees before it was disgorged in November 2015 with a 4.5g/l dosage. More structured red fruits here, with notes of dried fruits, a touch of apricot and citrus fruits, with a saline finish. For drinking now to 2020.
