Chateau Figeac 1985
Classifed as one of the 13 Premier Grand Cru Classe ‘B’ chateaux in St-Emilion, Chateau Figeac is situated just next to Cheval Blanc. It has a high proportion of Cabernets in its blend which is unusual for wines on the Right Bank, and gives the wine more structure and ageing potential than its neighbours.
Jancis Robinson: "Rust rim. Fresh Cabernet Franc aroma. Fresh and lively though relatively light bodied by now. Fading a little now but very, very pretty and fully evolved. Slightly dusty on the finish. 18 points"
Region: Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux, France
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend
