Chateau Climens, Barsac 1996
Barsac is a subregion within Sauternes and the wines can either be called Barsac or Sauternes. Stylistically, they tend to be slightly less unctuous than Sauternes with fresher flavours. Climens is the top name in Barsac.
“The 1996 is a light wine, offering a lemony, citrusy, and white fruit-scented nose with notes of minerals and spice. Medium-bodied, with good acidity, lively fruit, some sweetness, and a youthful finish” Robert Parker.
