Croisille Bergerie 2017
Chateau Les Croisile was purchased and redeveloped in 2000, by a passionate couple who had worked from the ground up before. Their philosophy revolves around the saying "wine is made in the vineyard," placing their agricultural techniques under constant scrutiny. They farm organically and are proud of their terroir.
The grapes sourced for the cuvee "Silice" come from vines planted on a terroir that is rare to Cahors. The Malbec vines are situated on a limestone plateau with red clay rich in silica and iron which makes up only 10% of the Cahors appelation. The average age of the vines is 30 years old and the resultant wine is ripe with delicious black berried fruit with a restrained use of oak.
