Chateau Cissac 2009
2009 is an amazing Bordeaux vintage—rich and opulent in style Robert Parker said “2009 may turn out to be the best vintage I have ever tasted in 32 years of tasting Bordeaux:” The prices went through the roof and even more expensive now.
Thank goodness for Cissac—always one of our favourite Cru Bourgeois, it really excelled in 2009 and is one of the few bargains of the vintage.
Ripe lifted nose of cassis and cedar. The palate is medium bodied but packed with rich blackcurrant fruit and fresh acidity. Surprisingly approachable already.
Grapes: Cab sauvignon 67% Merlot 28% and Petit Verdot
