Contino Graciano 2005 Contino is unusual in Rioja as it is a single estate making estate-bottled wines - most bodegas buy in grapes as well as using their own. Graciano is one of the permitted grape varieties in Rioja but is often a small part of the blend, despite its high quality. This 100% Graciano is aged for 13 months in French and Hungarian oak.
Not your typical Rioja. Much more fragrant with notes of violets and lifted cherry flavours. Incredibly dark coloured yet medoum bodied with beautifully pure, elegant fruit flavours and velvety soft tannins. A real stunner.
