Billecart-Salmon Nicolas 2000

As you may know, we don't drink much Grande Marque Champagne here - we generally prefer the more interesting wines from our clutch of Grower Champagnes. But, sometimes you're in one of those situations when only a named brand will do. And in that situation, we will invariably turn to Billecart.

Their Cuvee Nicolas Francois Billecart is their vintage Champagne. Rich and full bodied with toasty, yeasty flavours and good length. This is really a champagne that will improve with more time - if you can be patient!

Grapes: 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay

Alcohol: 12.5%
