Rivesaltes Baixas d'Agly 1969 Rivesaltes is a town just North of Perpignon in South West France and it produces sweet vin doux naturels from the Muscat grape that can have extraordinary ageing properties.
This wine is a bright tawny amber colour and has a complex nose of all kinds of dried fruit - sultana, fig, prune - overlayed with honey, toffee and liquorice. On the palate it is full bodied with a caramel sweetness. The delicious finish is long and creamy.
