Navazos Niepoort Palomino 2008 This is a white wine made from palomino fino grapes sourced from a historic albariza vineyard, fermented in butt using only of wild yeast, and aged without fortification under veil of flor for some four to five months.
The nose shows an apple and citrus freshness with tangy mineral notes. The palate has a nice weight that is supported by good acidity and subtle apple and pepper spice flavours. The minerality follows from the nose, a result of those chalky albariza soils!?
