Castillo Paramio Reserva 06

A new find for us from the less well known Spanish region of Utiel Requena. A blend of Tempranillo and Bobal - a native variety to the region. And at only 12.5% it's perfect for everyday drinking - so refreshing to have a Spanish wine with a lower (ish) alcohol content.

With the deep red colour you would be forgiven for thinking this was going to be a blockbuster. Not so! Instead this is delightfully medium bodied and well balanced. Soft dark fruit flavours mingle on the palate with a touch of spice, all wrapped up in velvety smooth tannins.

Grapes: 60% Tempranillo, 40% Bobal

Alcohol: 12.5%
