Grandes Costes Sarabande 2008

Domaine Les Grandes Costes, La Sarabande 2008

Family-owned since 1868 the winemaker, Jean-Christophe Granier, took over in 2000 and the property now covers 12 hectares and grows four typical Mediterranean varieties; Carignan and Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. The vines are between 20 and 50 years old and produce elegant wines with a great spiciness.

Named after a slow but playfull dance this wine unusually sees no oak influence but is aged for 20 months in a homemade ‘Patina’ in order to preserve the natural grape flavours. This wine uses all four grape varities planted at the Domaine.
