Carmel Kayoumi Shiraz 2006 Well its not everyday you get to try an Israeli wine is it? And this is not just any Israeli wine—it beat all the other Syrahs/Shirazes entered in the Decanter 2010 awards and won the International Syrah Trophy! Not bad, eh? Carmel have been making wines for 120 years in Upper Galilee and was established by one of the proprietors at Lafite.
Decanter: “Big, chunky, earthy fruit, with good spice and grip. Intense and voluptuous on the palate, with plenty of oak. Great persistence and texture.”
