Blanes Maury 500ml 2008 Maury is an appellation within the Roussillon district of southern France. Nearly all the wines made here are red, and must contain at least 75% Grenache noir. This is a sweet, fortified wine.
There is a rich forest fruit scented nose here, with elements of cinnamon spice. In the mouth there is a sweetness that is supported by fresh redcurrant and blackberry flavours. A lively acidity keeps it all in balance. This would be lovely with a light chocolate dessert.
