Conde de Salceda GR 87 Vina Salceda is situated in on the banks of the River Ebro in Elciego -an area which has a perfect microclimate for growing grapes. Made from Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo, all of which were handpicked from low yields this mature Rioja was aged for 18 months in American oak and six months in bottle as is the custom for a Gran Reserva. 1987 is considered a great vintage that is still drinking beautifully now.
Classic old Rioja—medium bodied with red fruit flavours of cranberry and redcurrant mingling with vanilla spice, leather, smoke and salami aromas. Elegant and poised with great length.
