Cauhape Jurancon Sec 2001 From the far south west of France, near the Pyranees. Jurancon is very distinctive, made on steep foothills from the Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng grapes. Often more well known for the sweet wines, this is a completely dry Jurancon. Domaine Cauhape are one of the top names in Jurancon. The Chants de Vignes is an unoaked cuvee and is predominantly Gros Manseng.
This is a beautifully fresh wine with herbal and mineral notes, zingy nettle and just a hint of honey. This has a delicious weight on the palate nicely blended with crisp acidity. Great stuff.
