Badoz Chardonnay Roussots 2008 This is a single vineyard Chardonnay selected from the Roussots site. The Chardonnays of the Jura are noticeably different than their neighbour Burgundy. As demonstrated here, they have a cooked apple quality, along with a viscous element that seems particular to the region.
Vinified in stainless steel and matured in oak this Chardonnay is expressive and complex with citrus, acacia and soft honey but backed up with wonderful minerality. Long finish. Try it with the regional soft cheeses like Vacherin or Mont D’or.
