Badoz Trousseau Rouge 2009 Trousseau and Ploussard are the two indigenous grape varieties of the Jura. Trousseau is the slightly darker more structured of the two, while still retaining a bright personality.
Trousseau is known as Bastardo in Portugal, which some of the more jeuvenille members of staff find hilarious.
The flavours of trousseau are of summer berries, but with a certain earthiness—some say like a walk in an autumn forest.
This is the only red wine from the Jura that won "reussite exceptionnelle" in la Revue du vin de France.
