Jo Pithon Bonnes Blanche 2005 Jo Pithon Anjou Blanc Sec Les Bonnes Blanches
The Jo Pithon estate has a slightly complicated and fragmented history—once owned soley by Joseph Pithon himself, he was forced to sell the estate in the mid 2000’s as a result of mounting debt. He orgininally stayed on as general manager of the estate which bears his name but broke away in 2008 and now produces wine under the Pithon-Paille label.
A stunning example of the capability of the Chenin Blanc grape. This wine has depth, complexity, concentration and character in abundance. The nose shoes honey, pear, suggestion of ginger, apple pie and a hint of oak. The palate is ripe and rich with a lanolin note and a long, satisfying finish.
