B de Basilio Red 2007 Basilio Izquierdo is renowned as one of the greatest winemakers in Rioja and worked as head winemaker at CVNE for over 30 years and was responsible for creating Contino. In 2007 he decided to set up his own project, sourcing the very best grapes from across the Rioja DO to produce his handcrafted wines. We are very excited to be the first to import these wines.
This is a modern style Rioja, full of ripe dark fruit, bitter chocolate and smoky coffee notes. It has a lovely restraint and is exceptionally well balanced with great depth. We reckon this is going to be very famous in a few years...
