Charvin Cotes du Rhone 2007 Charvin are reknowned for their great
Chateauneuf-du-Pape. If you like that style of wine—great savoury, meaty flavours, but don’t want to have to pay Chateauneuf-du Pape prices, luckily they make this more affordable Cotes du Rhone, which is a great example of the house style. On top of that 2007 is an amazing vintage in the Rhone.
Lots of black cherry fruit, pepper and cigar on the nose. The palate is lush and round with savoury flavours amongst the ripe fruit, and good length on the finish.
