Warwick First Lady Cab 2009 Warwick Estate are a well known South African winery based in Stellenbosch. Their top wine—Trilogy (a Bordeaux blend) is regarded as one of South Africas top reds. Named for Norma Ratcliffe—first lady at Warwick who was been winemaker for over 25 years.
This offers brilliant value Cabernet. Full of ripe dark fruit flavours but in no way overblown, this actually has a lovely old-world elegance to it. Very soft on the palate, this will slip down a treat on a weekday evening.
