Terra Tangra Organic Cabernet

It may smell and taste like a Bordeaux blend, but if you look at the label closer you’ll see that along with the Cabernet and Merlot is something called Mavrud. This is not a spelling mistake, or a character from Lord of the Rings—it’s a Bulgarian grape, and finally we’ve found a Bulgarian wine to get excited about.
Lots of blackcurrant and forest fruit from the cabernet and merlot, but with a spiciness that Mavrud is known for. Really nice structure with soft tannins yet a firm finish. Surprisingly good.

Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Mavrud
