Domaine les Rocailles Apremont de Savoie

This is a white wine from Savoie—a lesser-known wine region in France south of Lake Geneva in the foothills of the Alps. Les Rocailles is one of the best producers in the region, and Apremont is their signature wine. This is made from the local grape Jacquere. Despite what you might think being in the foothills of the Alps, Savoie is not a cool climate region—most of the vineyards are at low altitudes and the steep slopes help to promote ripening.

Full of ripe stone fruit aromas on the nose—peaches and nectarines as well as tangerine. The palate is deliciously smooth with a lovely creamy texture and more soft fruit flavours. Bring on the fondue!
