Chateau Laffitte Teston Madiran Vieilles Vignes

Madiran is in the foothills of the Pyrenees and is known for its wonderful dark, tannic wines made from the Tannat grape. This is the grape that has the highest level of oligomeric procyanidins (OPCs) - which are great antioxidants and the reason behind the ‘French Paradox’. Vielles Vignes literally means old vines—these ones are over 70 years old.

Brooding and intense with lots of dark fruit, chocolate and sweet spice flavours. Very approachable in its youth.
