Larredya Costat darrer 2010 This is a small domaine of about 10 hectares that has been in Jean Marc Grussaute’s family for more than a century. After many years growing strawberries, the first vineyards were planted with Petit Manseng in 1970. Jean Marc took over in 1988 at the tender age of just 20. Today the vineyard is farmed organically and planted with the traditional local white grapes – Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng and Petit Corbu.
Here we have a late picking and a high proportion of Petit Manseng in the blend which gives a bit more tang. Sweet but not cloying with 60g/l sugar. Honeyed and long.
