Schloss Halbturn Saint Laur 06

St. Laurent (or in German Sankt Laurent) is a highly aromatic dark-skinned grape variety in the same family as Pinot Noir. It is the most widely planted red grape variety in the Czech Republic, and as in this case is growing in popularity in Austria, found primarily in Niederösterreich and Burgenland. Schloss Halbturn in Burgenland produces superb wine being one of the oldest premium wineries in Austria and is also home to the most important imperial Baroque-building in Burgenland.

A great blend of raspberries and cherries this wine has been subtly oaked with sweet vanilla. Some prunes on the palate this won’t disappoint.
