Kistler Chard Noisetiers 2002 Kistler is an iconic name for Californian Chardonnay. Based in the cool-climate region of Carneros to the south of Napa where fog rolls in off San Francisco Bay to cool the vineyards and create a long growing season.
Les Noisetiers is a blend of Kistler's single vineyard Chards created for a higher volume market. The wine is very wonderfully rich with excellent complexity. The wine has a very Meursault-like characteristic, with full-bodied sautéed golden apple flavors accented with delicious baking spices. The finish is long and lingering with a smoked vanilla bean note.
