Les Galets Rouge CdP 2009 Les Galets Rouge Chateauneuf du Pape 2009
Les Galets Roules derives its name from the large rounded pebbles (galets roules) associated with the famous vineyards of the area. The stones lengthen the ripening period into the evening as they radiate heat absorbed during the day.
This Chateauneuf is to be drunk in it’s youth, and shows the fruit of the Grenache grape very well. 2009 was a warm vintage giving richness to the wine. Red spicy damson fruit on the nose, with dark cherries on the palate, and a hint of roasted meats on the finish.
