Creyssels Picpoul 2011
This wine comes from a noble grape variety first called Prickly Paul Picapulla then Piquepouille and is now known as the Picpoul. It is found almost exclusively in the Languedoc region and has intense citrus flavours which make it a classic match with seafood and shellfish. This picpoul, made by the Benau family, is slightly fuller than most as they leave the wine on it’s lees but still maintains freshness and acidity.
This wine has a lovely freshness to it with lemon and lime flavours. White flowers on the nose too. A great crowd pleaser for the summer.
