D'Esclans Garrus 2008

Chateau D'Esclans Garrus

Chateau D’Esclans is a relatively young winery based in the Cotes de Provence. Owned by Sacha Lichine (son of Alecis Lichine who owned Lascombes and Prieure-Lichine) and produced by oenologist Patrick Léon of Mouton Rothschild fame. This is their top wine at a truly awe-inspiring price. It is produced from old vines and made in Burgundian style - double sorting, destemming, fermentation in oak and battonage. Definitely not your everyday Provence rosé - and this might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But how often do you get to try the most expensive rosé in the world??!
