Loupiac 50cl 2007
Chateau de Loupiac 2007
Loupiac is one of the lesser known
appellations in Bordeaux producing delicious sweet wines from botrytised (nobly rotten) grapes. It’s on the opposite bank of the river Garonne to Sauternes, but has similar soil and weather. The wines are often lighter and softer than those from Sauternes but are ready to be drunk younger and are a really good value alternative.
Rich and balanced with lovely apricot flavours, crystalline fruit, honey, a hint of gingerbread and a waxy texture. Yum.
Grape: Sauvignon, Semillon
500ml
Vintage: 2007
