Laffitte Teston Ericka 2011
Pacharenc is a small appellation in Southern France—in fact it overlaps the Madiran red wine appellation. It produces dry and sweet white wines from indigenous varieties—including Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng and Petit Courbu. This one, Ericka, from Laffitte Teston is dry and is thought of as the top wine in the appellation.
This has an almost Sauvignon-like nose: lifted with notes of grass, citrus fruit and papaya. Dry and crisp but with a lovely richness from being fermented in oak. Incredible value.
Grape: Petit Manseng
