Stepp Pinot Blanc 2015

A really delicious dry, zesty, fruity Pinot Gris . It’s from Germany’s Pfalz region - they don’t just do Riesling! and we think it’s absolutely delicious. Pinot Gris is known for its stone fruit characters, but this one has amazing minerality and freshness too which comes from the limestone soil. Indeed winemaker Matthias Gaul says they are ‘fithy rich’ referring to the myriad of limestone. It’s from old vines (alte reben).

Really zesty nose together with typical stone fruit aromas and a hint of spice. The rich palate echoes the nose and there’s fresh limey acidity and a crisp mineral finish.
