Adank Brut NV
After working with Sauzet in Burgundy Patrick Adank, Hansruedi’s son made it his mission to make a fantastic Champange method Swiss sparkling wine. He went and worked with one of the best Champagne growers, Bereche to learn how to do it. So when we visited the winery in August we were super excited to taste the first batch he made. It was fantastic!
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, it’s elegant with creamy, smooth bubbles and delicious floral and citrus notes. It has just 2 grams of dosage, so qualifies as a brut nature - this really lets the wine speak for itself, rather than overpowering the aromas with sugar. A really interesting, fun alternative to Champagne and a true testament to Patricks wine making skills.
