This is from a tiny, 5 hectare Chateau owned by Luc Thienpont who also owns le Pin, Vieux Chateau Certan and many other prestigious top estates. The Chateau is situated direclty next to Chateau Margaux, on perfect soils.

This is absolutely delicious, and the few years of ageing add a complex, savoury note to it. A wonderful nose of ripe blackcurrants, a little leafiness and a touch of floral elegance. Medium bodied, but full in the mouth with that same blackcurrant fruit, lovely texture and attractive acidity. A brilliant example A brilliant example of affordable left bank Bordeaux!
