The Dead Winemakers Society series from Alpha Box and Dice is meant as an homage to pioneering winemakers of the past—in this case Piedmont great Bartolo Mascarello.

With a sweetly decomposing autumnal underbrush nose, the wine leads into a palate of ripe bitter cherries with a gently leafy tannic spine.
