Domaine la Loyane Lirac Blanc Diane 2018
Domaine la Loyane has been gaining in popularity rapidly over the past few years, and no doubt will become a name in the Southern Rhone. Romain Dubois started his wine making career at the age of 15 at the property, under guidance of his father, from whom he inherited the 30 hectare estate of mostly old vines in Lirac. He's now 35 years old, and has just completed his 20th! vintage, pretty impressive. His wife Laure looks after the viticulture, which is all done organically.
Blend of Clairette & Grenache Blanc with some oak aging. Seems to open up quite a bit in the glass with the aromas really starting to stand out. Fragrant and fruity with some almond, toasty character, citrus and stone fruit and on the palate the oak is really well integrated. Full, rich and delicious. .
